Niagara University’s C.E.O. club (Collegiate Entrepreneur Organization) is holding its annual Turkey Trot fundraiser on Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Heart, Love and Soul food pantry in downtown Niagara Falls. Since 2009, the Turkey Trot has donated over $7,000 toward making the holiday season a little more special for the people served by Heart, Love and Soul.

Participants may choose from one of three race categories:

  • A one-mile family walk.
  • A one-mile grade school run (K-8).
  • A 5K fun run.

The one-mile courses begin at 9:30 a.m. and the 5K race starts at 10 a.m. The race commences at the Gallagher Center and takes participants across Niagara’s scenic campus.

Post-race prizes, food, refreshments and music will be held in the Gallagher Center.

The family walk is free, although donations of nonperishable goods are appreciated. The grade school run is $5 per participant and the 5K run is $5 for those who register by Nov. 10, $10 after Nov. 10, and $15 on the day of the race.

Registration events will be held in the Gallagher Center at Niagara University from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 29-31 and Nov. 5-7.

Registration forms are also available online at www.niagara.edu/turkeytrot2013.

Collegiate Entrepreneur Organization (CEO) is a nationally affiliated club focused on entrepreneurship and free venture, two growing fields of interest for many collegians. Students from any major are eligible to join.
