Think of Gregory Duke, D.Phil., as the new Howard Morgan, ’86, because, as of Feb. 18, Dr. Duke is Niagara University’s director of advancement services.
Dr. Duke will take over the management of the office’s informational technology, constituent research and donor stewardship, donor tracking, gift processing and accounting.
Morgan, meanwhile, was named associate director of alumni/volunteer engagement, making him responsible for recruiting, engaging and managing alumni volunteers for university events and initiatives.
The reassignments are part of the strategic transformation of NU’s Office of Alumni Engagement, which was formed this January by fusing the university’s offices of Alumni Relations and the Niagara Fund.
Christine O’Hara, ’88, M.S.Ed.’06, serves as the executive director of this department, which also includes four professional positions and a support staff:
- Morgan, associate director of alumni/volunteer engagement.
- Patty McIntosh, M.S.Ed.’10, now serves as assistant director of alumni and annual programs. In this role, she develops and manages alumni and annual programs including Reunion Weekend. She will also implement new programs and activities to better engage our alumni.
- Michele Smith-Link is now the assistant director of student engagement alumni operations, and oversees the student calling program, the student giving/education program (SLAM), and all student calling programs, including “thank you calls,” reminder and event calls, etc.
- Jaclyn Rossi, ’08, M.S.Ed.’10, returned to Niagara to serve as the associate director of leadership giving. Jaclyn will solicit leadership level unrestricted annual gifts from donors and prospects through personal visits and other communication vehicles. She is also responsible for developing a comprehensive young alumni giving program.
