Father Levesque Offers Love, Prayers to Newtown Community

December 17, 2012  |  by Michael Freedman

It is days after the unthinkable tragedy in Newtown, Conn., and yet we cannot fully comprehend this senseless and tragic loss of human life.

As members of our university community, I ask you to join me in prayer and reach out with our deepest compassion to those children and adults who lost their lives at Sandy Hook Elementary School this past Friday. I would also ask you to remember to pray for the families who have lost loved ones and the entire community of Newtown who grieve so much at this time.

May the love and faith within our Niagara University community unite us to those who have lost their lives so tragically, as well as the many who mourn the great loss of these 26 Angels.

Let us find time in the few remaining days of this semester to pray in silence, aloud, alone or together for those who died, their families and all those communities of people united to them.

Sincerely,

Joseph Levesque, C.M.
President
