MBA Team Achieves Global Top 100 Performance in Business Strategy Game

Niagara University MBA students Ajmeet Bazaz, Alexandria Gordon, Tania Lintermanns, Lei Nie and Isabelle Weihermann achieved the Global Top 100 performance on Return on Average Equity during the week of April 29-May 5, 2013.  The team – “IShoeting” – recorded a return on average equity of 108.5 percent, the best of the week – worldwide.

The project was part of the students’ work for a MGT 691 course (Business Research, Strategy and Planning) taught by Dr. Stephen Mayer, assistant professor of management.

The purpose of the game is to give students an opportunity to make real-world business decisions and to see the results of those decisions. Over the last 12 months, the Business Strategy Game has been playedby 45, 979 students in 2,495 classes/sections at 561 college/university campus locations in 49 countries.
