Niagara University’s College of Business Administration has had its accreditation extended by AACSB International, a hallmark of excellence in business education earned by less than 5 percent of the world’s business schools.
Having first received AACSB accreditation in 2001, Niagara has continued to expand the quality of its teaching environment and curricula, while advancing efforts to develop academic programs in partnership with global business leaders.
Niagara University’s College of Business Administration currently offers undergraduate degree programs in accounting, economics, finance, management and marketing, with concentrations in specialized areas such as fraud examination, economic crime, supply chain management and food marketing. The College of Business Administration also offers an M.S. in finance and an MBA program with several concentrations.

Founded in 1916, AACSB is the longest-serving global accrediting body for business schools that offer undergraduate, master’s and doctoral degrees in business and accounting. There are 786 business schools in 53 countries and territories that have earned AACSB accreditation.
In April, Niagara University’s MBA programs were ranked among the best in the world by CEO Magazine. Dr. Tenpao Lee, interim dean of NU’s College of Business Administration, said that such rankings and accreditations validate the excellent work that the college’s faculty and staff do to ensure the success of students and graduates.
“International accreditation to this standard enhances student recruitment, further elevates the high value of our graduates’ degrees and keeps Niagara University’s business school in elite company in higher education,” Dr. Lee said.
Achieving accreditation is a process of rigorous internal review, engagement with an AACSB-assigned mentor and peer review. During this multi-year continuous improvement review process, schools focus on developing and implementing a plan to align with AACSB’s accreditation standards. These standards require excellence in areas relating to strategic management and innovation; student, faculty, and staff as active participants; learning and teaching; and academic and professional engagement.
