A Tim Hortons Café & Bake Shop was officially welcomed onto Monteagle Ridge Wednesday afternoon. Niagara University held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on March 30, 2011 to celebrate the opening of the Gallagher Center’s newest – and quite possibly, its most popular – food service vendor.

Complimentary Timbits were offered to all attendees.

Niagara University entered into a partnership with Tim Hortons, one of North America’s most prominent coffee franchises, last fall and the café and bake shop began serving the company’s signature “Always Fresh” coffee, donuts and other items in January.

While Tim Hortons currently has over 3,000 restaurants throughout Canada and approximately 600 franchises in the United States, this marked the company’s first foray into Lewiston and onto Niagara University’s campus.
