Niagara University’s Community Garage Sale Program Raises $2,000 for Campus Ministry

For the second consecutive year, Niagara University’s “2 Good 2 Toss” community garage sale program raised more than $2,000 for student outreach programs – while also keeping hundreds of reusable items out of landfills.

This was the fifth year of the program, which invites students (and employees) to donate items rather than toss them into dumpsters or leave them behind as the rush to summer break begins.

The items were then sold at a community garage sale that took place on campus May 17-18. All proceeds are directed to Niagara University’s Office of Campus Ministry and the St. Vincent de Paul Society.

Created by members of NU’s Vincentian Mission Certificate program, the “2 Good 2 Toss” initiative has raised nearly $10,000 since being instituted.
