Several Niagara University students, faculty and staff members were featured on local television last Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, as part of “College Week” on Winging It! Buffalo Style.

During the lifestyle and entertainment morning show, NU theatre students Dan Urtz, Alex Garcia and Ashley DeMar acted out a scene from Bat Boy: The Musical, which is onstage at Niagara Oct. 31-Nov. 10. Associate professor Doug Zschiegner also discussed what differentiates acclaimed NU’s BFA theatre program from its peers.

The university’s website, Facebook and Twitter pages were lauded during the program.

One of the highlights of the program included a pre-produced segment on the B. Thomas Golisano Center for Integrated Sciences. The piece included interviews with Dr. Chris Stoj and Dr. Bob Greene, as well as great footage of the new science facility.

Steve Butler, NU’s interim director of athletics, sat down with Winging It! host Lauren Hall to offer an update on what to expect from the Purple Eagles this season.

Additionally, during the show’s “Man on the Street” segment, many Niagara students were asked about their experiences on Monteagle Ridge, and what advice they would provide to freshmen.

Special thanks to Lauren Hall and Matt Snyder, and the entire crew of Winging It! Buffalo Style for featuring Niagara University.
