Professor Chad Parmenter Wins Snowbound Chapbook Award from Tupelo Press

Professor Chad Parmenter’s Weston’s Unsent Letters to Modotti has been selected by Kathleen Jesme as winner of the 2012 – 2013 Snowbound Chapbook Award from Tupelo Press.

The Snowbound Chapbook Award includes a cash award of $1,000 and 25 copies of the book, in addition to publication by Tupelo Press, a book launch and national distribution with energetic publicity and promotion.

Professor Parmenter is a visiting assistant professor in the English department at Niagara University, where he teaches creative writing and first-year writing courses. His poems have appeared in Best American Poetry, Kenyon Review, and Harvard Review.

Tupelo Press is “an independent, literary press devoted to discovering and publishing works of poetry, literary fiction, and creative nonfiction by emerging and established writers” which “has quickly established itself as the new standard among independent literary presses.”
