Students learned Indian classical dance moves from Gaitrie Subryan of Devi Bollywood Dance during the “Taste of India” event Oct. 25, 2019, hosted by the Niagara University Office of Multicultural Affairs. Born in Guyana and raised in the Bronx, Subryan has danced at events and shows as a member of the performance troupe at Indian dance school Bollywood Axion and the Sa Dance Company. She formed Devi Bollywood Dance in 2013, through which she shares Indian traditions and culture.
