Theatre major Carly Weldy engages with Broadway performer (and Niagara University alumna) Michele Ragusa during a workshop at NU on April 21.

Niagara University students had an opportunity to participate in an interactive musical theatre workshop April 21 with 1987 alumna Michele Ragusa, a highly decorated Broadway veteran.

During the 90-minute session, Ragusa assisted students with musical theatre pieces and spent time discussing her journey and what to expect when embarking on a career in the profession.

Ragusa’s remarkable performance career features Broadway credits in Young Frankenstein, Urinetown, Ragtime, Titanic and Cyrano de Bergerac. She has also starred in numerous productions with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, most recently as part of its Pops Series on April 14.

Niagara University offers BFA programs in three concentrations: performancedesign and production, and theatre specializations. To learn more, please visit www.niagara.edu/theatre.
