Niagara University’s College of Hospitality and Tourism Management hosted its annual Career Fair Feb. 22 in the Castellani Art Museum.

More than 140 students attended the event to speak with representatives from the 48 regional and national companies that were in search of interns and employees.

“I was looking for a potential job and because I want to broaden my horizons in sport management and athletics,” NU senior Mike Baum.

“Even if I don’t walk out with a job, it’s good practice to converse with these people, to make connections and network with them and get the interview experience,” added sophomore Justin Crawford.

Claire Storh, a human resources manager with Delaware North, explained why the global company comes to Niagara University for the Career Fair every year and why they are interested in hiring NU students.

“A job at Delaware North can give you a good foot in the door,” explained Storh. “We have companies all over the United States, but for Niagara students we have the State Park right down the road! We offer summer internships with the park, as well as full-time jobs out of college. We come to here to hire Niagara students because they have great leadership skills.”
