Evan Wright, community and academic engagement manager at Niagara University’s Castellani Art Museum, is a co-presenter at the American Alliance of Museums annual conference, May 6-10 in Los Angeles.

Wright will discuss Camp CAM as part of a session titled "Rebuilding, Reimagining, and Reinventing Summer Camps." The presentation focuses on how museums have transformed their programs since 2020 by reimagining existing offerings or launching new ones as revenue sources. Wright’s session will explore crucial questions around maintaining community trust with seasonal staff and sustaining institutional buy-in for these staff-intensive programs.

“This recognition highlights the quality of Castellani's educational programming and our contributions to the field,” said Wright. “Beyond presenting, I'm looking forward to building new connections with museum professionals from across the country and bringing back valuable lessons that can benefit our institution.”

Camp CAM provides a summer arts experience for kids ages 5–12, blending visual arts and theater through hands-on projects inspired by current exhibitions. The camp runs for five weekly sessions in July and August, with each session featuring a special theme.
