The Gacioch Center for Career and Professional Development recognized the more than 500 students who work on campus in part-time temporary positions, Federal Work Study positions, graduate assistantships, and on-campus internships on Wednesday, April 10, by inviting them to enjoy coffee, donuts, and other snacks throughout the day.

The celebration was held in conjunction with National Student Employment Appreciation Week, April 7-13, 2024, which was instituted by the National Student Employment Association and is observed during the second complete week in April each year. The purpose of the week is to enhance awareness of student employment and its important role in the higher education experience, and to recognize students who perform outstanding work while attending college.

On April 30, 29 students who were nominated by their supervisors will be honored at the annual Student Employee of the Year ceremony. Photos of these honorees are on display at the Career Center and available for viewing.
