Niagara University's American Sign Language Club performs Christmas carols at the annual tree lighting ceremony.

The Niagara University community celebrated the holiday season with its annual Christmas tree blessing and lighting ceremony on the Lewiston campus on Nov. 29, 2023.

Faculty, staff, and students gathered in Gacioch Circle to enjoy performances by the American Sign Language Club, the NU Players, the Soar Throats acapella group and a reading from Scripture before the Rev. James J. Maher, C.M., Niagara University president, blessed the tree. The event, which was co-sponsored by the NU Student Government Association and the Office of Mission & Ministry, concluded with hot chocolate and cookies.
