As one of their final activities as Niagara University students, more than 20 graduating seniors spent a few hours picking up debris, cleaning gardens, raking, and mowing several sections of the South End of Niagara Falls on Thursday, May 20, 2021. Fifteen students from Niagara Falls High School’s Early College/Smart Scholars program, a collaboration with Niagara University’s Rev. Joseph L. Levesque, C.M. Institute for Civic Engagement, also participated in the clean-up effort.
“We decided to do this because we thought, going to a Vincentian university, that it was important to do some community service before we graduate,” said organizer Tyler Reese.
