Niagara University in Ontario Student Services hosted a community tax clinic in March to assist individuals with modest incomes and simple tax situations. Volunteers filed approximately 35 tax returns for members of the local community, as well as those from Niagara University. NUO students supported the event as administrators, greeters, and screeners.
“Beyond the numbers, the clinic fostered a sense of service and community, demonstrating the power of financial literacy and support,” said Noelle Kotei, student experience facilitator. “It was a rewarding experience for both volunteers and attendees, highlighting the positive impact of giving back and making a difference!”
