Members of the Niagara University community joined Pinnacle Community Services in observance of Domestic Violence Awareness Month by placing purple ribbons on the columns of the Castellani Art Museum on the NU campus.
Pictured from left, Dr. Jennifer Beebe, associate professor of counseling/education; the Rev. James Maher, NU president; Dr. Debra Colley, executive vice president; Dr. Dana Radatz, assistant professor of criminology and criminal justice; and Michael Beam, interim director of the CAM.
The ribbons were a way to show the university’s support for Pinnacle and to honor those who have been harmed by relationship violence, in lieu of the annual event hosted by the university and organized by Dr. Beebe and Dr. Radatz, which was not possible due to the coronavirus pandemic.
