Niagara University’s Office of Continuing Education is offering a new online certificate program in cybercrime and business security.

Participants will be furnished with the latest and most relevant information available about how cybercrime, computer forensics and logistics affect the electronic security of business and government entities.

By combining a sequence of criminal justice, computer science and logistics courses, students will explore cutting-edge research and best practices from leading Niagara University faculty members and field professionals. Graduates will be provided with the tools to anticipate security breaches and criminal activity above the general level so that they can positively take action and implement the proper procedures.

Five courses are required to earn the certificate, the first of which begins Aug. 28. The material is condensed, relevant and designed specifically for working professionals. The program can be completed in one year.

Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree or be over the age of 22 with at least 30 college credits and a GPA over 2.25. Full-time Niagara University students are not eligible to complete the online certificate program.
