
Attorney, political commentor, and political analyst Angela Rye will give the keynote address at Niagara University’s annual celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy. The presentation takes place at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2021, in the Castellani Art Museum at Niagara University, and is co-sponsored by NU’s Office of Multicultural Affairs, Multicultural Affairs Advisory Board, Campus Programming Board, Niagara University Student Government, President's Office, Office of Student Affairs, and Niagara University Opportunity Program. It will be available to the public via Zoom.
Rye is principal and CEO of IMPACT Strategies, a political advocacy firm in Washington, D.C. The Seattle native has an unwavering commitment to ensuring a positive change in the political process and has become a critical voice on many of the pressing issues of our time. She has been published in several media outlets from Ebony to the Washington Post, and is a regular on-air personality for BET, CNN, MSBC, C-SPAN, and TV One.
Rye currently serves on the boards of the Congressional Black Caucus Institute, the Seattle University School of Law Alumni, and Women in Entertainment Empowerment Network; is a senior advisor to the Government Technology and Services Coalition; and is a member of Te Links, Inc., National Bar Association, American Bar Association, and the Washington Government Relations Group.
