Students from Niagara University's American Sign Language and Deaf studies program signed the American national anthem prior to the NU men's basketball game vs. the University at Buffalo on Nov. 29.

Approximately 25 students and staff members from St. Mary’s School for the Deaf attended Wednesday night’s men’s basketball game at Niagara University. They were guests of the university’s ASL and Deaf studies program.

Professor Amy Heider signed the American and Canadian national anthems. She was joined by students in NU’s ASL club for the American rendition.

The St. Mary’s students plan to return to Monteagle Ridge for a women’s basketball next semester.
