Niagara University’s College of Education celebrated its 92 graduating seniors during its annual pinning ceremony on May 16, 2025, in the university’s Russell J. Salvatore Dining Commons.

The event began with a welcome by Dr. Jeffrey Faunce, followed by an invocation given by Rev. Gregory Cozzubbo, C.M., campus minister.

Led by Dr. Amy Nwora, dean of the college, the students recited a teacher’s oath before being introduced by Traca McKissic, director of teacher education field experience, and receiving apple-shaped pins signifying their commitment to education.

During the ceremony, Julianna Struzik received the university’s Monsignor Duggan Award. Recipients are selected by the deans of all Niagara’s colleges for their outstanding scholarship and participation in student life.

In addition, Erika Haley was honored with the college’s Undergraduate Senior Award, and Charlotte Collee received the Father Dana Duggan Award.
