Niagara University’s pre-law chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity held a formal induction ceremony on April 25, 2025, celebrating the achievements and aspirations of its newest members. The event marked a significant milestone for students dedicated to the pursuit of legal education and service.

Held on campus with faculty, students, and families in attendance, the ceremony featured remarks from Kevin Hinkley, assistant professor of political science and director of the pre-law advisement program. Professor Hinkley addressed the inductees with heartfelt reflections on the responsibilities and opportunities that accompany a commitment to the legal profession. He praised the students for their academic dedication and encouraged them to uphold the fraternity’s guiding principles of integrity, compassion, and professionalism.

Also in attendance was Niagara University's president, the Rev. James J. Maher, C.M., who offered congratulatory remarks. In his address, Father Maher highlighted the importance of ethical leadership and the role future legal professionals play in shaping just societies.

During the ceremony, each inductee was formally recognized with the presentation of a certificate and honor cord, symbolizing their entrance into one of the nation’s most respected professional fraternities. The event concluded with a reception where inductees and their families celebrated alongside faculty and fellow students.

The success of the ceremony was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the Justice House staff, chapter advisors, and Niagara’s engaged student community.
