Niagara University’s Office of Multicultural Affairs sponsored a trip to Washington, D.C., for participants of the university’s Big Eagle Little Eagle Mentorship program as part of its Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration.

Niagara University student mentors and Niagara Falls High School student mentees traveled to our nation’s capital Feb. 7-9, 2020, to experience the history and current events in that city. Students visited the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, the National Museum of African American History & Culture, and the Lincoln Memorial, toured the Frederick Douglass National Historic Site, and took a sightseeing bus excursion. The trip provided opportunities for both educational enrichment and bonding between mentors and mentees.
