The Niagara University Players will present an entirely student-run production of Extremities by William Mastrosimone this Oct. 16-18 on campus in the Leary Theatre within the Elizabeth Ann Clune Center for Theatre, Clet Hall.

Directed by NU theatre performance major Kathleen Macari, ’16, Extremitiesis a searing play about assault and retaliation focused on an attempted physical attack and its aftermath, as the victim turns the tables on her attacker. 

Viewing content is suitable only for playgoers 18 years and older. Content (sexual assault, stage violence, graphic language) may be disturbing for some viewers.  

The production will be presented at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 16, Saturday, Oct. 17, at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 18.

Members of the Niagara University Players responsible for organizing this production include theatre performance major Clarissa Maloy, ’17 (stage manager); theatre performance major Steven Sass, ’16 (assistant stage manager); Krista Cantrell, ’18 (assistant stage manager); design production major Marissa Allen, ’17 (set design); design production major Gabrielle Lopez, ’16, (costume design); theatre performance major Matthew Divita, ’16 (lighting design); design production major Tristan Hils, ’18 (sound design); and theatre performance major Karen Harty, ’16, (artistic director).

Cast members of the production include the following theatre performance majors: Heather Casseri, ’17, of Tonawanda, N.Y.; Mersedez Hoover, ’18, of Pittsburgh, Pa.; Colleen Pine, ’17, of Indian Lake, N.Y.; and Joshua Ranallo, ’16, of Buffalo, N.Y.
