Mayor Del Duca and chamber president meet with NUO faculty, staff and students

Members of the Niagara University in Ontario (NUO) campus attended the Annual Mayor’s Luncheon on Wednesday, March 20 at the Universal Event Space in Vaughan, Ontario.

The event, which is presented by the Vaughan Chamber of Commerce, brings together the local business community for a State of the City Address from the Mayor of Vaughan, Steven Del Duca.

Following the event, NUO representatives, including Dr. Evan Clarke, Dr. Galina Boiarintseva, and Dr. Arrani Senthinathan, along with several NUO graduate students, met briefly with Mayor Del Duca, and Jennifer Rashty, the president of the Vaughan Chamber of Commerce.

Niagara University, which has been offering programs in Ontario since 1984, opened a campus in Vaughan in 2019, and is currently expanding the campus with state-of-the-art classrooms, additional spaces for collaboration, student lounge areas and faculty offices. The expansion of the university’s location will strengthen its presence as a binational university serving the United States and Canada.
