Phillip Catanese, director of centers & college outreach in Niagara University's Holzschuh College of Business Administration, received the Ilio DiPaolo Humanitarian Award on July 23 as part of the Buffalo Bisons Italian Night Festival.
A passionate servant-leader, Catanese has served on the boards for VIA (Olmsted Center for Sight), Hillside Work Scholarship, Homespace, the Leukemia Society WNY, and Hilbert College. He has also been actively involved with the Boys Town of Italy, Catholic Charities, Children's Hospital, Horizon Health, the United Way, Kelly for Kids, the Heritage Center, and Wal-Mart Golfing for Kids in WNY. He and his wife, Jo Ann, have served as chairs of the Response to Love Center’s annual dinner.
