Dr. Daniel Tompkins, professor of finance, and Ed Hutton, associate professor of finance in Niagara University’s College of Business Administration, have been named series editors for the Sage Business Publication Valuation Case Series, a new collection of business cases focusing on evaluating how business decisions affect the valuation of the corporation.

“Dan and I are excited to be working with Sage on these teaching cases,” said Hutton. “We recognize that using the case method gives students a unique insight into learning business that they don’t get from studying a textbook.”

Dr. Tompkins joined the faculty of Niagara University in January 1999. He has an MBA from the University of Akron, and completed his doctoral education in 1993 at the University of Kentucky with a major in finance and a minor in statistics.

Ed Hutton has been with the Niagara University College of Business since 2008. He has an MBA from Canisius College, a master of science degree in financial economics from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation from the CFA Institute.
