Niagara University Conference on Workplace Mobbing Builds Foundation for Future Research and Initiatives

More than 70 scholars from 15 countries across the globe participated in Niagara University’s inaugural Conference on Workplace Mobbing, July 22-24, 2024. The event was intended to develop a clear conceptualization of the critical social process known as workplace mobbing that sets it apart from the broader term of bullying, and to establish it as a scholarly subfield to encourage scientific research on the topic, with the ultimate goal of informing policy and creating effective anti-mobbing frameworks.

Niagara University Launches Speaker Series Focused on Literary Criticism and Social Justice

Emerging and established scholars will be featured as part of Niagara University’s new Literature and Social Justice Speaker Series, which launches this fall. The series is intended to facilitate discussions on how humanistic inquiry, specifically literary criticism, can contribute to social justice. The focus of the first two talks will be on the issue of disability.

Merani Scholarship Awarded to First-Year Student Abigail Flick

First-year student Abigail Flick was selected as the 2024 recipient of Niagara University’s Merani Scholarship, a collaboration between the university and the Merani Hotel Group to provide opportunities for high-level experiential learning in the hospitality industry. She will receive an annual scholarship of $7,500 and paid rotating internships at Merani properties.
