Dr. Dana L. Radatz, associate professor of criminology and criminal justice at Niagara University, was awarded a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council Connection Grant for the project "Understanding, defining, and assessing coercive control to prevent IPV: Outreach to identify knowledge gaps and research needs.”

Professor Coleen Edwards Leads New York Sea Grant Plankton Workshop for Teachers

Coleen Edwards, a faculty fellow in biology and environmental sciences at Niagara University, hosted a professional development workshop sponsored by the New York Sea Grant and the Center for Great Lakes Literacy. Twenty teachers and educators representing 17 school districts participated in the two-day workshop, which was held July 18-19, 2024, and focused on plankton, the organisms that form the base of the Great Lakes food web.

Niagara University Announces Launch of Institute on Disability Awareness

For the past 15 years, Niagara University’s Disability Awareness Training program has provided first responders, businesses, and government agencies with customized programs that sensitize and educate participants on all aspects of disabilities and the challenges they may encounter as they interact with and respond to incidents, situations, and accidents that involve individuals with disabilities.
