Dr. Rolanda Ward Receives Champion of Justice Award from National Association of Social Workers

Dr. Rolanda Ward,  associate professor of social work at Niagara University and endowed faculty director of the university’s Rose Bente Lee Ostapenko Center for Race, Equity, and Mission, received the Champion of Justice Award from the New York state chapter of the National Association of Social Workers at a virtual ceremony on March 28.

Three Students Recognized for Research on Critical Women’s and Gender Issues

Niagara University’s women’s studies program honored three students for their work examining women, gender, or feminist issues at its annual awards ceremony on March 19, 2024. Established in 2004, the award contest, which typically honors research papers, was enhanced this year with the addition of a creative entities contest.
