Niagara University Honors Scott Bieler and the Vincentian Community at Annual President’s Dinner

Niagara University celebrated its students and honored distinguished individuals who embody Niagara’s mission within their communities during the 2025 President’s Dinner on Nov. 5, 2025. Scott Bieler, president and CEO of West Herr Automotive Group and The Scott Bieler Family Foundation, received the St. Vincent de Paul Award in recognition of his outstanding support of NU and its students, and the Vincentian Community was honored with the Ozanam Medal in celebration of the 400th anniversary of the Congregation of the Mission.

Dr. John Sauter Involved in Several Advising Activities This Semester

Dr. John Sauter, associate dean for advising and administration in the College of Arts & Sciences, presented three sessions at the annual NACADA: The Global Community for Academic Advising conference, Oct. 26-29 in Las Vegas Nevada. He was also featured in the inaugural issue of Academic Advising Quarterly for his reflective artwork “Advisortown: Everyday Helpers” and was referenced in episode 8 of The Pickup Meeting Podcast featuring his Emerging Leadership Program mentee Isabelle Rena Langham.

NU Faculty Curate Exhibit That Explores Justice Through the Lens of Contemporary and Historical Experience

Dr. Paula Kot,  associate professor of English, Dr. Jim McCutcheon, associate professor of Spanish, Dr. Lisa Williams, associate professor of management, and Dr. Donna Thompson, professor of psychology, recently collaborated to curate an exhibition at the Castellani Art Museum that explores the concept of dignity: what threatens it, what reaffirms it, and how art offers space for reflection, dialogue, and transformation.

Darius Myles, ’15: Building a Future for His Family and Community
