Niagara University’s Kiernan Recreation Center will welcome more than 200 Special Olympians and their families on April 27 as the host of the Special Olympics New York’s Western Regional Basketball Tournament. The event begins with an opening ceremony at 9:30 a.m. and concludes with team and skills awards.

As of last year, a new collaboration with the College of Nursing has further enriched this integration of artistic creativity with physical and mental health education, a partnership we are excited to continue.

University’s expansion adds to the Power of Niagara in Vaughan

Niagara University is gearing up for a major expansion in Vaughan, and on Friday, May 3, the Rev. James J. Maher, C.M., president of Niagara University, signed the lease for the expanded campus space in Vaughan. Father Maher, along with Mario Cortellucci and Peter Cortellucci from the Cortel Group for the official lease signing.
