Niagara University Transformed: NU Announces Successful Completion of its “Powering Transformation” Capital Campaign

Niagara University is pleased to announce the successful completion of the largest and most impactful philanthropic campaign in its 166-year history. “Powering Transformation: The Campaign for Niagara University,” has raised more than $130 million dollars, exceeding its goal of $125 million. Highlights from the presentation are available online.

CAM Director Discusses Educators as CEOs at American Alliance of Museum Annual Meeting

Ellen Owens, director of Niagara University’s Castellani Art Museum, was a featured presenter at the American Alliance of Museum’s 2024 Annual Meeting and Expo May 16-19, in Baltimore, Md., a conference with more than 3,000 museum professionals in attendance. She is one of four educator-CEOs who discussed their experience as leaders in the museum field during a session entitled “Museum Educator to CEO: What We Bring to the C-Suite.”

Niagara University Brings Emergency Management Training to Mariana Islands

Emergency management master trainer Vicky Davidson traveled to the Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Island in April to deliver Niagara University’s nationally acclaimed training at the University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities at the Northern Marianas College, one of the 67 UCEDDs across the United States and its territories.

Niagara University Set to Host 2024 Special Olympics Regional Basketball Tournament

Niagara University’s Kiernan Recreation Center will welcome more than 200 Special Olympians and their families on April 27 as the host of the Special Olympics New York’s Western Regional Basketball Tournament. The event begins with an opening ceremony at 9:30 a.m. and concludes with team and skills awards.

Niagara University Ostapenko Center Sponsors Youth Action Conference

Three hundred students in grades 6-12 from 17 private and public schools across New York state learned more about leadership and becoming change agents at a Youth Action Conference on April 23 at the Niagara Falls Convention Center. The event, now in its seventh year, is sponsored by the Niagara University Ostapenko Center for Race, Equity and Mission.
