Vincentian Mission Institute Announces 2024-26 Niagara University Cohort

Members of Niagara University’s 2024-26 Vincentian Mission Institute cohort attended an opening retreat and conference Nov. 14-16 at De Paul University. Now in its 17th year, the VMI facilitates relationship-building among peers at the three Vincentian universities in the United States—Niagara, DePaul, and St. John’s—as they develop leadership capacity to advance the schools’ Catholic and Vincentian missions.

Niagara University Students and Faculty Rally in Gally with Josh Halpern, CEO of Big Chicken

Josh Halpern, CEO of Big Chicken, addressed nearly 300 Niagara University students, faculty, and staff during a Rally in Gally on Oct. 22, 2024. The event was the relaunch of an annual event sponsored by the Holzschuh College of Business Administration that brings together students, faculty, and others to highlight current business issues.

Niagara University Honors Two Individuals During Veterans Day Celebration

Niagara University observed Veterans Day with a special celebration in honor of the Rev. Joseph L. Levesque, C.M., former president of Niagara University and founder of its veteran program, and Rev. Lt. Thomas M. Conway, a Navy chaplain and Niagara University alumnus who received the Navy Cross for giving his life to bring spirituality and peace to the crew of the USS Indianapolis.

Niagara University Powers Up On-Campus Solar Array

Niagara University powered up a 17-acre state-of-the-art solar array on its Lewiston, N.Y., campus Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2024. The $6.2 million, four-megawatt project, completed in partnership with Montante Solar and Pivot Energy, features 7,500 bifacial solar panels, mounted on a smart “tracker” racking that follows the sun throughout the day to maximize energy production.
