Niagara University Students Inducted into Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Chapter

May 13, 2024

On Jan. 30, 1984, Niagara University’s pre-law chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, International was chartered. On April 30, 2024, the chapter was reactivated, and 20 students were inducted during a ceremony in the Gacioch Family Center's Fireplace Room.

As National Teacher Appreciation Week came to a close, Niagara University’s College of Education celebrated its 86 graduating seniors during its annual pinning ceremony on May 10, 2024, in the university’s Russell J. Salvatore Dining Commons.

13 Cadets Commissioned During Ceremonies at Niagara University

Thirteen Niagara University Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) cadets were commissioned as second lieutenants in the United States Army during ceremonies held May 10, 2024, on the Niagara University campus. This was the 83rd consecutive year that members of NU’s Purple Eagle Battalion have taken the oath of office.

Accounting students in Niagara University’s Holzschuh College of Business Administration's cost management systems course presented their case analyses to a panel of academic and seasoned business professionals during a case competition on April 23, 2024. The competition, which was sponsored by Lumsden McCormick CPA, is the first of its kind in the upstate New York region.

Chemistry Students Present at 2024 WNY American Chemical Society Symposium

Four undergraduate students from NU's Department of Biochemistry, Chemistry, and Physics presented the results of their research work at the 2024 WNY ACS Undergraduate Research Symposium at The State University of New York at Buffalo on Saturday, April 13.

Alexandra Kiedrowski received an award for best poster in environmental biology for her research with Dr. William Edwards and Dr. Cassandra Marnocha at the annual Eastern Colleges Science Conference on April 13, 2024.

Niagara University Hosts 78th Annual Eastern Colleges Science Conference

Approximately 170 students and faculty from 16 universities, including 19 students from Niagara University’s departments of biology, chemistry, and psychology, participated in the 78th annual Eastern Colleges Science Conference on April 13 at Niagara University. This marks the fifth time Niagara has hosted the forum.

Niagara University’s student chapter of the Club Management Association of America was named Student Chapter of the Year by the association at its 2024 World Conference and Club Business Expo, held March 4-8 in Las Vegas. This is the 13th time in its 15-year history that the chapter has been recognized as the top medium-sized chapter in the country.

Four Niagara University students from the Holzschuh College of Business Administration competed against their peers from more than 100 colleges and universities across the United States in the 2023 College Fed Challenge, an annual competition hosted by the Federal Reserve System’s board of governors and the Federal Reserve Banks.
