Dr. Karen Kwandrans Is Featured Panelist on Workforce Development

Dr. Karen Kwandrans, associate vice president of strategic and external relations at Niagara University,wasafeatured presenter during a panel discussion hosted on May 23, 2024,by theNew York Association for Training and Employment Professionals (NYATEP) as part of its LevelUp New York trainings.

Dr. Kwandrans shared her experience as a workforce leader during the discussion, “Resilience in Times of Recession: Strategies for the Workforce Development Sector,” which highlighted adaptive learning and skill development, strategic workforce planning, public-private partnerships, and technology and innovation. Other panelists included Crystal Griffith, director of workforce developmentat the Business Council of New York State, and Megan Farry, senior director of strategic partnerships and communications for the NYATEP.

Dr. Kwandrans, who joined Niagara University in 2021, is a member of the NYATEP board and an advisory board member of the Buffalo and Niagara Falls Workforce Leadership Academy. She holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University at Buffalo, a master’s degree in education from Buffalo State University, and an Ed.D. in educational leadership from St. John Fisher College.
