Dr. Shawn Daly Discusses AI in Education During Virtual International Panel

Dr. Shawn Daly, professor of marketing and international business and director of student global experience in Niagara University’s Holzschuh College of Business Administration, was a featured panelist during a discussion about “The Use of Artificial Intelligence Tools in Education: Implications for Academic Integrity” sponsored by the University of Guyana’s Centre of Excellence for Teaching and Learning in collaboration with Educational Onlining Support Services.

Dr. Daly shared his perspective of the benefits and challenges of using AI in the teaching/ learning dyad during the panel, which was presented via Zoom on June 24, 2024.

Other panelists included Dr. Ruth Baker-Gardner, a lecturer at the University of the West Indies; Eldon Marke, founder and CEO of V75 Inc.; Dr. Simone Bernard, librarian at the University of Guyana; and Dr. Shanomae Rose, a  lecturer at the University of Guyana.

Dr. Daly has lectured extensively and appeared on national news programs concerning the use of AI, medical tourism, and B2B marketing. He is the recipient of two Fulbright awards and has been involved in numerous international development projects, providing expertise in business, marketing, and engineering in Rwanda, Guyana, and Ethiopia.
