Holzschuh College of Business Administration Celebrates Seniors

Niagara University’s Holzschuh College of Business Administration celebrated the academic achievements of 41 senior students during a special ceremony at the Niagara Falls Country Club on Nov. 2, 2025.

The annual Everett W. Ockerman Recognition Luncheon, named in honor of the former longtime chair of the university’s Department of Commerce and Economics, recognizes students with an overall GPA of 3.5. Each student is presented with a certificate and an HCBA embossed leather padfolio to begin their business careers.

“The Ockerman Awards recognize students whose academic achievement distinguishes them among their peers,” said Dr. Mark Frascatore, dean of the college. “Their accomplishments reflect a strong work ethic, thoughtful engagement with their studies, and a determination to excel. We celebrate their success and the positive impact they make on the Holzschuh College of Business Administration.”

“It was an honor to be recognized at the Ockerman luncheon with my classmates and family,” said Jessica Hartman, s social media and digital analytics senior from Rochester, N.Y. “It was at this lunch that I decided I would be continuing my education here at Niagara by getting my MBA in digital marketing, analytics and AI.”

“Our Ockerman Recognition Luncheon is truly one of my favorite events of the year—a heartfelt celebration surrounded by parents, close friends, and our dedicated faculty and staff. It’s such a joy to honor our hardworking seniors and share in their well-earned success,” said Kelli Asklar, assistant dean.
