Niagara University Powers Up On-Campus Solar Array

Niagara University powered up a 17-acre state-of-the-art solar array on its Lewiston, N.Y., campus Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2024. The $6.2 million, four-megawatt project, completed in partnership with Montante Solar and Pivot Energy, features 7,500 bifacial solar panels, mounted on a smart “tracker” racking that follows the sun throughout the day to maximize energy production.

Niagara University Receives $10 Million Gift from Entrepreneur and Philanthropist B. Thomas Golisano

Niagara University has received a $10 million gift from entrepreneur, philanthropist, and civic leader B. Thomas Golisano. This transformational gift is one of the largest received among a series of major awards totaling $360 million to organizations in Upstate New York, which were announced by Golisano on Sept. 17, 2024.

Niagara University Transformed: NU Announces Successful Completion of its “Powering Transformation” Capital Campaign

Niagara University is pleased to announce the successful completion of the largest and most impactful philanthropic campaign in its 166-year history. “Powering Transformation: The Campaign for Niagara University,” has raised more than $130 million dollars, exceeding its goal of $125 million. Highlights from the presentation are available online.

Three Named to Niagara University’s Board of Trustees

Niagara University’s Board of Trustees elected three new members during its December meeting: Shannon Patch, vice president of government affairs at Delaware North; Robert Rich III, founder and president of ROAR Logistics; and Kevin Ruggiero, vice president and chief information officer of Moog. The appointments were announced by the Rev. James J. Maher, C.M., president of the university.
