Niagara University Hosts Special Olympics Regional Basketball Tournament

More than 200 Special Olympians and their families came to Niagara University’s Kiernan Recreation Center on April 27 to participate in the Special Olympics New York’s Western Regional Basketball Tournament. The event began with an opening ceremony at 9:30 a.m. and concluded with team and skills awards.

Richard Gold, former M&T Bank president and chief operating officer; Ashley Decker ’19, MBA’20, associate digital marketing manager, integrated performance marketing at Rich Products; the Rev. James J. Maher, C.M., president of Niagara University, Patti and Thurman of the 34 Group; John Ruffolo, ’95, chief financial officer at Horizon Corporations; and Dr. Mark Frascatore, dean of the Holzschuh College of Business Administration.
