Niagara University Celebrates Professional Accomplishments and Outstanding Service at Annual President’s Dinner
Niagara University honored seven individuals for their outstanding leadership and dedication to improving the lives of others at its 2024 President’s Dinner, Oct. 29, 2024, at the Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino. Proceeds from the President's Dinner benefit Niagara University's scholarship programs. This year's event raised nearly $235,000 toward student scholarship assistance.

Merani Scholarship Awarded to First-Year Student Abigail Flick
First-year student Abigail Flick was selected as the 2024 recipient of Niagara University’s Merani Scholarship, a collaboration between the university and the Merani Hotel Group to provide opportunities for high-level experiential learning in the hospitality industry. She will receive an annual scholarship of $7,500 and paid rotating internships at Merani properties.

Paul J. Yesawich Jr. Scholarship Helps First-Generation Students
Paul J. Yesawich Jr. was the only child of Lithuanian immigrants who grew up in Queens, N.Y. As he approached graduation from one of the city’s most challenging and respected high schools, Brooklyn Tech, he was eager to continue his education, but concerned about his family’s ability to pay for it.

Niagara University Celebrates the Life of Alumnus at Dedication Ceremony
Niagara University celebrated the life and generosity of alumnus John Francis Walsh, Class of 1943, on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, during a ceremony that included the blessing and dedication of a room in the university’s B. Thomas Golisano Center for Integrated Sciences.
