Hobby Leads to Career for Noah Kaczmarek, ’22

Noah Kaczmarek, ’22, began metal detecting with his father as a teenager, motivated by his love of history and the outdoors. The two would travel to sites across New York state, where they found items including an engraved thimble made of 14k gold dating to the Victorian era, a solid gold pocket watch from the early 1900s, and numerous artifacts dating to the War of 1812.

Dr. Stephanie M. Dimech has been named dean and campus principal for Niagara University in Ontario. In this role, she will lead the university in deepening the footprint of Niagara University in Vaughan by advancing Niagara’s mission and strategic growth of the Vaughan campus.

Niagara University Powers Up On-Campus Solar Array

Niagara University powered up a 17-acre state-of-the-art solar array on its Lewiston, N.Y., campus Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2024. The $6.2 million, four-megawatt project, completed in partnership with Montante Solar and Pivot Energy, features 7,500 bifacial solar panels, mounted on a smart “tracker” racking that follows the sun throughout the day to maximize energy production.
