Dean Bridget Niland and Dr. Darren Treadway Publish Article in College and University Journal

Dr. Bridget Niland, dean of the College of Hospitality, Sport and Tourism Management at Niagara University, and Dr. Darren Treadway, associate professor in the college, recently published an article titled "Managing the Maze: High School Student-Athletes Navigation of the College Choice" in College & University Journal.

Book Authored by Dr. Laura Kremmel Wins Prestigious Award

A book authored by Dr. Laura Kremmel, assistant professor of English, was selected by the British Association for Romantic Studies as one of its four First Book Prize recipients. The prestigious award is given biennially for the best first monograph in romantic studies to encourage and recognize original, ground-breaking and interdisciplinary work in the literature and culture of the period c. 1780-1830.

Nursing Student Continues Family’s NU Nursing Legacy

Like many women of her generation, L. Jeanne (Burns) Argy pursued a career in nursing because she enjoyed helping people. She enrolled in Niagara University’s College of Nursing just two years after it was established. While the first graduating class numbered two—Marcia Sippel and Constance Sullivan—Jeanne’s Class of 1952 was exponentially larger at 21 students.

Internships with Niagara Falls National Heritage Area Provide Valuable Experience for Niagara University Students

When Dr. Hope Russell, an adjunct professor in Niagara University’s history department, joined the Niagara Falls National Heritage Area in July 2023 as its director of education and interpretive planning and historian, one of the first things she did was develop an internship program for Niagara University students.
