Twenty-four students from Niagara University’s Pre-Law Student Association visited Washington, D.C., March 21-24, to witness all three branches of government in action, engage with prominent individuals who serve within these branches, and connect with alumni to gain insights and advice about law school and their future careers.

Business Students Experience the Sights, Sounds, and Tastes at Rosina Food Products

Rosina Food Products hosted 33 students from Niagara University’s Holzschuh College of Business Administration for a tour of its West Seneca production plant on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. The students saw how the company’s pasta and meatballs were made, learned more about the business, and were able to try samples of the food.

Every year, more than one million college students are eligible for benefits from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, yet more than half do not apply. Jaime Lechner, a senior political science major from Grand Island, N.Y., is looking to change that.

Niagara University Honors Four Students for Research on Critical Women’s and Gender Issues

Niagara University’s women’s studies program honored four students for their work examining women, gender, or feminist issues at its annual awards ceremony on March 18, 2025. Entries were submitted by students across numerous disciplines in both the writing contest and in the creative entities contest, which was established last year.

Three Niagara University Social Work Students Receive Award at National Conference

Social work seniors Paige Hergott and Olivia Harrington and junior Mackenzie Forbes received second place honors for their poster, “The Importance of connections and relationships within the social work field displayed through SWSA” at the 42 annual conference of the Association of Baccalaureate Social Work Program Directors, March 12-15, 2025, in Las Vegas.
