Niagara alumni and employees continue to make their mark in the Western New York community. Two Niagara University alumni and one university employee are featured in Buffalo Business First’s 40 Under 40 class. The designation recognizes individuals for their professional success and the impact they make in their communities.
Christine Stolzenburg, ’09, audit principal at Withum, and Courtney Donahue Tasner, ’08, partner in Lippes Mathias’ Trusts & Estates practice, are two Niagara University alumni recognized in this year’s 40 Under 40 class. Krystina Burow, an advancement officer at Niagara University, is also recognized in this year’s class.
Stolzenburg graduated from Niagara with a Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration in accounting. She went on to work at Freed Maxick & Battaglia for nearly 15 years before joining Withum as an audit principal last year.
Stolzenburg is also a member of Leadership Buffalo, an organization that brings together leaders from across the community and equips them with skills and networks to address critical community issues. She also serves on the boards of ConnectLife and the Kidney Foundation of Western New York.
Tasner graduated from Niagara in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in political science. She went on to earn her law degree from the University at Buffalo School of Law in 2011. For the past decade, Tasner has worked as an attorney at Lippes Mathias and was recently promoted to partner.
She serves on the board of directors for the Niagara County Bar Association and as a finance board member for Family 18 of the Tonawandas.
Niagara University Advancement Officer Krystina Burow has been with the University for more than a year and is excited to be part of the Niagara family.
“From day one, I’ve been encouraged to think creatively, collaborate across departments, and pursue opportunities that strengthen relationships with our alumni, students and community,” said Burow.
“I’m incredibly grateful to be part of the Niagara University community and to work alongside colleagues who are passionate about our mission. I look forward to what’s ahead and to continuing to represent Niagara University with pride.”
The 2026 class marks the 34th year of Buffalo Business First’s 40 Under 40 program.
