Niagara University has earned another distinction as a higher education institution. This year, NU was named to Phi Theta Kappa’s 2026 Transfer Honor Roll. Only 275 colleges and universities nationwide received this recognition.
Phi Theta Kappa is the premier international honor society for students attending associate degree-granting colleges. Membership is by invitation and is limited to students who have earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher and completed at least 12 credit hours. PTK provides access to millions of dollars in transfer scholarships, leadership training, and career development opportunities. The organization is built on the pillars of scholarship, leadership, service, and fellowship.

Through this recognition, Niagara University has been recognized as one of the nation’s most transfer-friendly colleges.
