Niagara University’s Club Management Association of America Student Chapter Named Number One

Niagara University’s student chapter of the Club Management Association of America was named Student Chapter of the Year by the association at its 2024 World Conference and Club Business Expo, held March 4-8 in Las Vegas. This is the 13th time in its 15-year history that the chapter has been recognized as the top medium-sized chapter in the country.

Niagara University’s College of Hospitality, Sport and Tourism Management has established an affiliation with the Extended Stay Lodging Association, a trade association dedicated to advancing the extended-stay lodging industry. This affiliation is groundbreaking, as Niagara University CoHST becomes the first hospitality school to join forces with ESLA, marking a collaboration between academia and the extended-stay lodging industry.

Kyle Barker, ’19, Produces First-of-its-Kind Broadcast on ESPN

Kyle Barker, ’19, was in the right place at the right time. The Syracuse, N.Y., native was working as an intern with Niagara University’s athletic communications department when the university received a $1 million gift from 1966 alumnus Bill McKnight to upgrade its broadcast studio. The funds enabled the department to purchase equipment that would enable it to create content that met TV network production standards.
