Dr. Dennis Garland Honored with Community Partner Award by Developmental Disabilities Alliance of WNY

Dr. Dennis Garland, associate professor of education at Niagara University, received the Community Partner Award at the Developmental Disabilities Alliance of WNY’s 36th Annual Development Disabilities Awareness Day conference on May 21, 2024. The award recognizes an individual or group working in the community that has gone the “extra mile” to help enrich the lives of people with developmental disabilities.

Dr. Carol Doyle-Jones, associate professor in the College of Education at Niagara University and academic chair of the Ontario educational studies department, received a Global Excellence Award from the Association of Independent Liberal Arts Colleges for Teacher Education at its annual conference, Feb. 15-16, 2024, in Denver, Colo.

Two Niagara University Alumni Among Business First of Buffalo’s 30 Under 30 Honorees

Two Niagara University alumni were listed among the young professionals recognized in Business First of Buffalo’s 13th annual 30 under 30 list, which was announced today. Nearly 100 nominations were considered, with honorees selected on the basis of career achievements, leadership and initiative, community engagement, and their potential to become a community leader on a grand scale.
